About the winery

ORFILA winery was founded in 1905 by José Orfila, being one of the most traditional family-owned wineries in Argentina. This Spanish immigrant from Majorca bought lands in the province of Mendoza which had belonged to General José de San Martín, a national hero from Argentina.

Currently, the winery is located at the Department of San Martín, 45 Km away from the City of Mendoza, where over 30 million liters of wine are manufactured and sold every year. Since 2011, Orfila winery is part of GRUPO CEPAS, a leading company in the manufacture and distribution of beverages, a property of the Gancia family, and engaged in the Argentinean market since 1940.

With over 100 years of history, Orfila winery has continued developing the legacy from its ancestors, preserving its tradition with an innovative look into the future.
